I do abide by the adage relating to reality - its stood me in good stead.

And frankly for me there is no dissonance between that & the war comment.

Simply....the comment is part of a mind-set that is dealt with by me in humour (by choice) that if the US wanted to really prosecute that war as it should have been - it would have had a drastically different outcome.

Im not saying better - but a different outcome

Trust me possum - I have a daily reminder of what the reality of war really is.

For me now, Vietnam is down to two things - it'd be nice to resolve the MIA issue and keeping my perspective on my past - I choose to use a lighter focus than some of my fellow vets.
