There are heaps of free info sources on the net about options, but the ASX is a good place to start.
And finish. Just do the basic course, maybe just the first couple of lessons, that's all you'll need to understand all you'll need to, imho. I could recommend books but they will only drag you into the world of mirages of effortless profit which will disappear before your very eyes like virga in the Kalahari desert and cost you multiples of brokerage and exchange fees, trust me on this.

In my experience if you try to get clever with options they will a) take over your every spare minute and then some, and b) lose your money.

I do have some oppies, key thing is to calculate your b/e point, (Exercise Price + your buy price). Make your decision to trade out based on the heads (the primary stock, in this case EDE), or on the option price itself. If things are going well for the fundamentals AND there's enough time to expiry, I'll convert the oppies to the heads. If things are wobbly or the fundamentals of the coy are uncertain, I get out.

I usually invest LT but occasionally get some oppies if the price is right. And that is the whole thing with options, the price in and the price out, and the mkt depth of the options themselves.

If you are new to trading I suggest you don't get in, but in this case they were free, so what the heck? You've got a runway to Sept 2018 so it's going to cost you nothing, literally, to ride them.
