It is a shame that MUS management did not have enough experience or awareness about the improbability of cutting really top class rubies at such an early production stage. Stones like the Gaff are really rare and to expect MUS to attain that so early was foolish. Even I was optimistic then thought Da! why did not I not predict that obvious issue before. The polished stones (remember they were at that stage recently and it takes only a few hours to complete polishing after cutting - not days or weeks) must have been not as good as hoped. They should have cut and polished some surface windows and had them checked out for flaws and colour before making any statements to ASX.
That does not mean MUS lacks a good mine and it will most likely be similar to GEM as it's part of the same geological event. In that case it should be a very valuable asset that should boost the share price a lot in due course but what a dumb mistake to make.
