Will be a shock to SA govt and somewhat at Federal level too. Afterall these damn miners are supposed to be an endless supply of easy tax revenues! Reality of too many poorly thought out taxes and increase in soverign risk here hitting home.
EIS would have been a nightmare at that scale even with the govt working with them...imagine what it would be like with a govt not really pro mining and development.
Little wonder its almost impossible to bring new projects into development. Much easier for the majors to take over the little guys....
