extensive evaluation of global risk management software vendors. IT&e’s professional
services team were engaged by HSBC to successfully implement Razor within an aggressive
six month implementation schedule.
It may very well have been Razor that brought the problem to light ...
Mr Green defended HSBC's US consumer lending business, which specialises in credit cards and other unsecured loans, but admitted the shift into mortgages was a mistake.

HSBC has shaken up the management of its US consumer finance arm in recent months, parachuting in executives from other parts of the bank.
Michael Geoghegan, chief executive, said he had taken personal charge of the issue.
"Management made some mistakes. It won't happen again," he said.
I imagine the Razor product will see it doesn't happen again.
