It goes against every instinct I have developed in my long life but a random poll in both Russia and USA would give the green light to "nuke" the other.
I'll concede that in the US you might need to NOT poll fly-over country. I know less of Russia but the cold war hatred persists, I'm sure. FWIIW Putin is now more popular than he was just a few months ago.
