Your not on ignore but I don't typically respond to your posts because I consider you a troll. For someone who predicted gold to hit $400 you now seem to be somehow congratulating yourself on gold's performance. It's up 13% in the last 12 months in my book.
In terms of general views on poverty homelessness is rife in the US and especially compared to Australia. First time you visit it is very confronting. If you catch a train you will see the dilapidated houses along the way and the empty buildings / warehouses. If you have friends you can drive through the really poor suburbs (the hood) although i'm not sure how they differ from the projects.
I stopped at some sort of stopping areas for RV's one night. There were families there with children sleeping in cars.
Its not the Sudan, but the difference between rich and poor and the numbers of people below and near the poverty line is way, way far different to here in Australia.
