Why have HUI gold stocks been naked shorted so much over the last few years?

Can you imagine what might happen if the average American share investor worked out there was easy money to be made buying quality gold equities and they were giving significant leverage to the gold price.

Just a few possibilities:

1. Out goes money from the bankster controlled GLD ETF and into gold equities.

2. Out goes money from near zero interest bank accounts and into gold equities.

However if gold equities underperform and are random in their price action the average American share investor is scared off them.
