I agree tender process adds a little more spice to the equation. One of the key issues I see is SINOPEC now have an Australian partner and for us the benefit is, AED will have a lot more opportunites with Chinese backing (finance and being significant plaer). Onshore and offshore.
Feeling is that oil price will only increase this year and we won't see prices below US$100 again. Right time to invest; explore and bring production online quickly. As a guide, Canadian/US oil interests are falling overthemselves in the Americas to bring production online quickly. Likewise state owned oil interests in Latin America are expanding quickly and see big opportunities in the direction oil price is headed.
