Looking at this... it seems summer air conditioning (etc) causes higher average wholesale prices than winter... possibly due to the use of gas / oil for heating in southern states???
Solar generation does appear to nearly halve in Winter to Summer... but it is presently such a small (but growing) contributor to the whole market (excluding SA perhaps) that I would assume pricing differences would be based off demand - rather than the impact that solar supply has on the spot price
