it will only get messy for companies that perform well in low interest rates... energy stocks tend to perform well in rising interest rates together with banks, insurance, financial institutions that rely on a profit margin that increases with increasing rates.
I think after considering this aspect that I update my view on agl to a buy as, whatever the government say, they will have to start increase interest rates sooner rather than later.
