Good posts. While having a limited knowledge of mining companies to just gold companies it seems to me there have been two success stories in Medusa (MML) and CGA (CGX) which are both gold mining companies operating in the Philipines.
It was interesting to note that during Jim Askew's presentation at the Denver Gold Forum (details of a link to this presentation were posted on HC on 24/9) he mentioned MML and also possibly CGA from memory and how there operations have inadvertently helped OGC as these two companies have helped to break new ground, or the ice as it were, in the Philipines. As compared to a few years back when OGC were looking to start up Didipio and were the first movers and so encountered difficulties and opposition to the mine thru this period, opposition and obstacles which may have lessened somewhat since that time. according to Jim.
