Meanwhile, the expansion of Uber Eats from Sydney and Melbourne's inner cities to outer suburbs could be hurting Domino's franchisees, with anecdotal evidence suggesting delivery sales fell 15 to 20 per cent at incumbent businesses when delivery aggregators moved into their territory.
Domino's, which is the global pizza chain's local master franchisee, has also been expanding into Europe and Japan.
But Credit Suisse said its target for 1000 stores in both Germany and France was coming under further doubt, with store conversions from the Hallo Pizza and Pizza Sprint chains it acquired slowing, and some stores closing. The analysts projected a long-term network of 1722 stores in Europe, compared to Domino's guidance of 2600.
Credit Suisse said Domino's stores in Japan were also facing problems, with industry feedback suggesting the pizza delivery market had fallen in the past six months with "local cuisines" gaining market share.
