If we just ignored them the way you ignore the crazy person on the street having arguments with themselves, I think we would have a much, much better forum.

They are still free to spout rubbish and we would be free to move on. Yes some new members to the forum might get sucked in but at the end of the day if you make investing decisions based on the opinion of ANYONE on a forum, you are probably more suited to the TAB than the ASX.

But some people seem to like to engage with these people. And unfortunately even if you have the doom and gloom merchants on ignore, you still are bombarded by the people who respond to them.

I can't help but think the negative nellies have a two fold goal. Spread misinformation and doubt. And to dilute the value of the thread but saturating it with rubbish.
