Just had a quick look through the RIV Ann Rpt for 2006 (Sept).

RIV had 3 projects at the time of their 29/08/06 announcement -
(i) 74% of the Zululand Anthracite Colliery (ZAC), a producing colliery
(ii) Working towards a BFS for the Riversdale Anthracite Colliery (RAC) project in South Africa
(iii) had acquired 203 000 hectares of tenements (contiguous to CVRD's massive coal project which at the time was undergoing a major feasibility study towards development) in the Moatize Coal province in Mozambique.

So not comparing apples with apples, but it can be done, maybe quickest way is to review RIV's past research reports on their website.
Also, of course, CDS has 70% interest in Waterberg.
