Further to that - the Chinese market will only be of interest to the Chinese market and Chinese audiences - for all the obvious reasons (language, culture, download ability etc, etc)
How does MSM get the story out there to the Chinese market (remember it is not just to prospective talent applicants but to the voting audience, as well? It needs several million downloaders of the app to make it viable - how hard do you think that will be. Without that audience there is nothing. What does Riva have in China that MSM can run on the back of?- nothing to my knowledge.
The western market (particularly the US and Australia) are the easiest markets because of the overall knowledge and awareness of Megastar Millionaire (through the public releases made by MSM through the ASX in Australia and through the local identity, local domicile of the product and the reach of the local ambassadors).
What were the results in those countries? - underwhelming in the extreme.
One of (and I mean, just one of) the major obstacles facing MSM is how to get enough people to want to download the app. To do that - they have to know about it? - how do you get that amount of publicity out there and at what cost. It has to be massively marketed - it wont just happen.
Seems to me that the true believers think that it is just about attracting the interest of talent - it is more about attracting the interest of the masses.
On the talent point - why will Megastar attract the same interest (incredibly limited as it was) in subsequent compititions as it did in the first - when (1) the first had the honeymoon effect - (2) the curiosity interest of a first event with lots of promotion - and (3) the removal of $1 million. That point cannot be understated. Imagine "Slumdog ..." without the next word - or, "Who wants to be a ..." without that same word.
Out of interest - why was the whole concept and image of "Megastar Millionaire" thrown away - the key tease has gone ("Millionaire")? - crazy
Why will someone in India or China or the Philippines (who have little money and probably who have a family depending on them) give a toss about being taken to Hollywood? They want the money - not a management contract. That doesn't put bread on the table and they don't have the time or ability to leave their families to pursue imaginary stardom in the big smoke
BTW - on the graph point, it is easy to correct - turn the graph upside down - it is heading for the moon.
Unfortunately, turning the share price around doesn't do squat - 2.2 cents still remains 2.2 cents.
Has anyone framed a market for the shareholder take-up in the Entitlement Offer? More or less than $500k? 5 to 1 for anything north of $1 million.
May also be worth seeing a market on the completion of the Riva funding commitment - will they? - wont they?
On a final related point - MSM have stated publically, that there "are a number of parties" who have entered into funding commitment agreements - but, apart from Riva, those other parties have never been named - why?

Long post, mostly incorrect. Assumptions about China, incorrect. Forget patents? Incorrect. China has hosted multiple talent comps derived from Western companies. Again incorrect. Slumdog blah blah. Not even remotely connected to this context. Honeymoons, slumdogs, smoke, stardom, moon, all totally unrelated to this debate. Low content, incorrect, and non-applicable whatsoever. Someone please give me that 10 seconds of scroll reading back. Sorry mate. No offence intended. Just cant see the parallels.
