    I have done river diversions , we use to only make a narrow channel (trench) with an excavator or scraper and let the river scour the rest out , seems like these guys are making it the full width , and so are having to use ADTs to move earth off site beats me why , maybe some environmental reason ?
    Mind you everything about how LOM moves earth and operates in general I find perplexing
