Hey owenod, when it comes to the plan for Rio do Oro which will probably end up processing concentrate from Cascavel IMO, is that they have the data from the Troy mine and will simply set up the CIL exactly as it was back in 2006. This is what I think will happen, and no, I haven't been party to any inside info - it's a fact that the Troy setup was terrific - a cash cow and a repeat is on the cards if they can set up a similar operation. No need to check out elsewhere when they will be mining the same orogenic ore from Antenna and Rio do Oro, with concentrate from Cascavel the icing on a very rich cake.
BTW I did have a few concerns a few weeks ago so I phoned JG for a chat. From my conversation with him I feel we still have a good steward at the helm regardless of the poor performance at the mill, and while short term it looks dicey I think they still have a good chance of turning this into a monster.
We wait and see
