    What if ... CSN increased it's stake in RIV to 19.9% to sure up it's holding ahead of a counter a bid by Vale. Both are Brazilian and Vale has mining leases net to RIV in Mozambique.

    I agree that CSN cannot be discounted as a possible counter bidder to RIO

    RIO might even extend the offer period beyond 18 Feb.

    Just a few thoughts as the business end of RIO's offer period commences.
