    Hve to admit I agree here. To me, if you sell before the "advantage" (ie. before the new is made public and you therefore get the advantage) I can't see how that is insider trading. The whole idea behind the concept of insider trading and the illegality of it IS that you buy before the news is made public and then sell after, in order to profit from your inside knowledge. Rene may have known that the deal was likely but he does not appear to have "inside traded"?
