With respect to RAM, they do have a described resource, based drilling results received from programme undertaken at Aries Prospect in September 2010, with best results:
High grade Rare Earth Element (?REE?)intercepts include 25 m @ 5,031 ppm Total Rare Earth Oxides (?TREO?) and 20 m @ 4,852 ppm TREO
High grade Tantalum‐Niobium (?Ta‐Nb?) results include 40 m @ 2,499 ppm Nb205 and 195 ppm Ta205
TREO composition typically 85% Light Rare Earth Oxides (?LREO?) and 5% Heavy Rare Earth Oxides (?HREO?) and 10% Y2O3
A number of distinct high‐grade Ta‐Nb and REE lenses to be further explored
More will be known after the 2011 field season.
And, unlike on GGG site, RAM do recognise issues to do with Mining Radioactive Minerals In Greenland
Greenland currently imposes a ban on the exploration and exploitation of radioactive elements where these
occur at above background levels (as they do at Motzfeldt). This prohibition includes mining of these
elements as by‐products. As it stands this law would prohibit mining at Motzfeldt. The Greenland
government are working through a process of public consultation and debate on the issue of mining
uranium and other radioactive elements.
