There's also probably a bit of big smart money front running this. Pushing solid producers down by exiting over time and or shorting then scooping them back at lower prices. They want to be positioned in gold when the wider market has its pants pulled down. They know gold stocks recover quicker than the broader market as flight to safety plays out.
If it goes to 62c as Tubs is proposing then I'll be break even - and topping up big time.
