Saw the tide turning this morning and immediately placed an order of 60,000 RMS@$1.26 at 10:15am, BUT my broker didn't accept my oder until 10 minutes later and my order was placed in quarantine during this time. Then at 10:25am my order was partially filled to 8578 shares and at 12:39pm the rest of my order was cancelled by my broker. During the 10 minutes to 10:25am, had my order not quarantined by my broker I would have plenty of opportunity to fill my order.
I later sold that 8578 shares @$1.32 per share. All in all I lost $3,000 in opportunity costs.
Does anyone know if I have a case here for compensation? If so, which department should I start the claim?
