I don't know exactly when the crash will happen. I realise that many people have been predicting the next crash for years, and that you can miss out on a lot of profit by getting out too early and sitting on cash which earns nothing (and loses value after inflation).
Nevertheless, multiple market indicators are at overvalued levels, and recent gains have been on poor economic news in anticipation of more reserve bank and government stimulus.
Furthermore, October is a very popular month for major stock market crashes, allegedly because it is the start of a new financial year in the USA. I would rather be out 6 months too early than 6 hours too late.
I don't dispute that RMS and other gold miners currently have the best fundamentals, but fundamentals become irrelevant in a crash.
I'm about 90% in cash at the moment.
I was invested in the 2000 and 2008 markets, and I have learned the hard way about how to manage these situations.
