I think you might be right, when it moves it can move quickly over relatively short periods (300% in 6 months type moves). All these lifelines to banks are temporary fixes and band aids on much bigger problems. When the general market wakes up properly to realise that fiat currencies aren't worth jack and inflation is here to stay there won't be enough gold (or sliver) to go around and things will pop hard. We are edging ever closer to that time.
