Well it wouldn't of hurt to have got an independent value, that didn't happen. I think the synergies are good but don't think that either resource won't have their challenges.
Yes the major shareholders and BRB board like the deal and with the bullish gold price
One thing i do know about Rebecca a 1.1 gram per tonne resource that it doesn't take much for any profit to evaporate quickly especially if the ore is hard or abrasive, soft gold price, has high levels of arsenic ( recovery issues/cost), talc, acidic ore etc etc
In my experience geo's over estimate grams per tonne more they under estimate
Sites i've worked on 1 gram per tonne was considered waste and sometimes blended with higher grade
