In some respects it is counter intuative. If the magical vaccine works tomorrow and everyone is happy and healthy they still need to keep on printing to keep the game going. If you subscribe to the monetarist theory inflation is money supply multiplied by the velocity of money, gold will get a nice kick along if covid is a thing of the past.
