8% of SLR's share capital traded today...most of it surmise bought by VanEck under an arrangement with a stockbroker to buy and hold on their behalf in advance of the rebalance event today.
It raises the interesting prospect that SLR's membership of the ASX 200 could be short lived. Their market cap is $810m whilst Ramelius is $829m
The probability that Ramelius is promoted to the ASX 200 on 19 December 2019 has to be reasonable.
