now that AUD gold price has pushed up to 2240 I ventured onto the ramelius website to discover a tantalizing Animation of the Mt Magnet in 3D .
For me it puts some helpful perspective on the CEO's public assertion earlier in the year in Hong Kong that there is 10 million ounzes of gold to be mined at mt Magnet. As the concluding text in the video says of Mt Magnet '6m ozs and growing'.
The scale of the Morning Pit deposit is the clarion call in this video . 506,000 ozs at a grade of 1.7g/t but with stated reserves of just 68,000 ozs. Stand up those who believe that with spot AUD gold at 2240 and with Comex futures enabling forward sale of ( AUD hedged) gold at AUD2340 from June 22 that production of gold at Morning Star will cease in June 2022.
nobody is standing up!
That is why the recent Statement of Reserves is misleading.
Ramelius directors will soon be making preparations for sign off on the 2019 Annual Report . Will they incorporate what is a demonstrably inadequate statement of the company's gold reserves if they persist with the fiction that there is only 68,000 ozs of mineable gold - at current prices- at Morning Star?
Recently an extension of the Vivien mine life - with an attributed gold price of AUD2000- was announced.
It is time for Ramelius directors to provide more meaningful insights into the reserves position at the numerous gold deposits- 20+ at last count- under their control. The Annual Report is the ideal document to do so.
