If there was something to eventuate between the two companies ...IF .... the only way I'd retain my present level of holdings would be if Simberi (and possibly Atlantic too ) were planed to be hived off into a separate company .
Should be a merger too and no premium paid by either .
Gwalia is getting old but plenty of resources in the area and that is the attractive part of SBM together with the SP being the weakest of the gold stocks over the last year so in one sense at least might be considered cheap .
Simberi is the anchor dragging them down .
Let's see what develops but for me , at this stage at least , not what I consider good news although looking at morning SP of each market seems to approve of the idea .
