Clearly if you read the regulations, it is highly unlikely that ASIC would consent to RMS withdrawing their bid.
My interest is a DIO shareholder; I am yet to decide on the merits of the RMS bid... but I suspect that AVO will come back anyway to prevent RMS obtaining a stake that will enable it to greenmail AVO in the future.
