Very risky strategy. If there was a big announcement pre open, there will be a lot of games played at opening auction. For example, a lot of fake sell bids are often place then pulled out at the last second. Because a lot of these games are played by those with access to auto-trigger computers (BOTS) you can end up paying a lot more than you intended. Unless experienced, I'd suggest only ever putting a buy bid at auction at a price you are comfortable with otherwise you could end up paying a lot more than you had bargained for.
