I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. Nearly all US mortgages are fixed for the life of the mortgage. The appetite for locking in for 30yrs at these rates is clearly much lower. The sales volumes won’t come until rates have moved much lower than current and with that we should see some improvement to RMY regardless of strategy
