I read the bit about G6 requesting a 20% reduction in rent. Have not seen anything about 50% rent reductions for child care centers. That might refer to shopping malls etc.
I would regard the G*8 request as an ambit claim. Remember the Govt is directly paying them 50% of their previous revenue regardless of whether the children turn up or not and they paying staff jobkeeper payments so they are probably doing better than most businesses.
