If the ongoing cuts to the FDA, and many other regulator agencies, and what seems to be scientific and evidence based analytics and decision making in general, including firing of many scientist continues it is possible that a point will be reached were the implicit value of trust placed in the FDA and US manufactured products that depend on high quality regulations for efficacy, and health and safety could be seriously weakened.

Currently, and for long time, the primary reason to get FDA approval, and manufacture at higher cost in the US, is its wide acceptance globally of good quality due to very strong high quality regulator standards and oversight, and the additional benefit of course of the US market.

If the FDA does become less trusted as the global standards and regulator agency to evaluate and monitor therapeutic products, and regulator standards across broad range of manufactured products also decline, and US as whole becomes less trusted to provide systems in this regard, then where will customers, including US ones, good looking instead to get this?

Currently Europe (EMA) and Australia (TGA) are two likely viable alternatives.

Staying here in Australia and in Europe as the primary locations during research and development pipeline phases makes long-term senses, though still of course participating in the US and FDA processes.

Now is not the time to put all our eggs in one basket, in particular in a basket that is getting tossed around and deliberately picked apart at the seams.
