as already posted by phoneman, the NY State's Environmental study on the fracking issue is due out on 13th Feb 13 US time (i.e. 14th Feb 13 Aussie time, given around 15 hours time difference).

This might be the biggest indicator to which way Cuomo will jump on the issue.

Meanwhile, Tony Abbot is talking about his plan to 'populate Northern Australia'. This may be a long term plan but it has to be something positive for EEG, as the plan will also include new infrastructure - and we know the NT's Chief Minister has been talking to him about a national gas pipeline which would link NT gas production to WA in the West and Qld in the East - both of which are facing gas shortages due to LNG export contracts.

So, if you have a long term view on things, EEG has to be a good investment, imo.
