Breaking news on 'The Australian' online version, is that the NT Govt has agreed to a plan to supply gas to the Gove Aluminium refinery for the next 10 years.

If Rio Tinto agree, then this will likely created the potential for gas shortages in the rest of the NT.

Relevance for EEG??
It is virtually a green light for EEG and AJQ to go ahead and explore for gas and get it into a pipeline.....because the NT will need the gas in future years.
Additional to that, is the fact that the NT Chief Minister and Tony Abbot have already been talking in recent weeks about a national gas pipeline, to link the NT to WA and Qld, who are also both facing gas shortages.
The future is looking bright for the likes of EEG.
Now, if only NY State would get their act together. We might has an idea as early as Thursday, Aussie time, as the Environmental study may (notice I did say 'may' - the farce that is NY State pollies and bureaucrats means nothing is certain...whatever happened to the great American 'get up and go' attitude?) be released. Just don't go holding your breath waiting though.
