DyO
DyO still limping along under the base line formed by that almighty crash 17 months ago when reality dawned that HRE, particularly DyO, TbO & LuO, were NOT investment grade semi precious metals as spruikers like Fanya in China & the ROW glitterati commentariat had tried to allude.
They are commodities, and subject to the laws of basic supply and demand. DyO stuck at 1230kg says there is very little demand, current production capacity operating < 50% confirms it:
AM statistics: Chinese dysprosium oxide suppliers’ average separation rate in November rises by 11.9% MOM to 42.2%[12-09
Dragon has the capability of lifting production 2.5x to meet economic demand say circa US$250, what do you think that will do to LT pricing as magnet manufacturers advance DyO deletion thru the high end grades?
Clearly there was a massive "Come to Jesus" in the HRE space 17 months ago, when the Fanya guy was arrested for conning punters, only those stuck in Dysy 1.01 fail to recognise it:
