MacBank has been selling down their stake from 17% to less than half that. Why would they sell down and then buy back in?
"They don't really want to be taking the punters that loaded up at Sub 1c to court for their $1."
There are two alternatives: PR disaster from sueing small investors, or loosing tens or hundreds of millions in value from fronting up the next installment and watching the value drop. It's a pretty easy choice for Macquarie, which is why they have been selling down.
