    Let's face it the entire campaign was a side show that should never have happened and luck had a lot to do with the outcome. Had the invaders really been serious about taking turkey they probably could have, but in reality it was a sensless farce, resulting in a useless waste of lives. Why else did they send Aussies/kiwis irish lancasters and french there? Because they were expendable.

    Those dumped on the beach were fighting for their lives, and those being invaded were fighting for their lives and their country.
