I think home automation is where IOT will gain traction, at $550 Aud i still think the roam-e is too expensive for the general market not to say there isn't a group of people like spinnergirl who want such a product. I just don't see younger people forking out that much and using it, like i said in my other post i can see real estate agents using it, maybe at a weekend game/athletics (good luck getting people's consent). Home automation and wiring up a house with sensors controlling the internal temp, security, energy usage, solar panel efficiency, water the garden, turn lights off remotely, maybe sensors telling you if your pool Ph etc are off would be a safer bet. I don't feel home owners would be put off at the cost of home automation particularly with new builds. Hope i'm proven wrong.
