Second of all, no one knows how much skin management has in the game. They get paid a nice salary and it could be all upside for them. I’m not sure how management got their shares in the company, if it is just via allotment as part of their employment contract as opposed to acquired with cash, then they have no hurt-money on the table and even if the company collapses, they probably made some sweet coins out of it already.

Regarding SP manipulation, it's a very grey area and surely most companies, particularly young companies, do it to some extent.
