Robo advice: the future of investment advisory and management?

Interesting development of robo/digital advice in the financial advisory and portfolio management areas not just in Australia but around the world. Personally, I'm leaning towards to the robo-advice-is-the-future camp as machine learning can replace much of the current repetitive portfolio management process with lower margin of error and become more efficient in terms of execution and monitoring time, as well as potential cost benefits for DIY investors.

However, I'm a bit guilt of jumping to conclusion at this stage as I have not looked too much into it yet...but do watch out for this space.

The following link is a recent presentation on robo advice by John O'Connell, founder of OwnersAdvisory by Macquarie which gives you a good overview of what it is and their product capabilities.
