A disgraceful period in OzI personally saw whole families disintegrate because of the stress of this horrible stuff up by government.
One case I know - everyone involved - - INCLUDING the tax department said that this family did NOT own money - but, centerlink persisted and punished the family
it drove the mother and father into severe stress - in the end, the family broke away from extended family as relationships broke down and mental illness took over --
I have no idea if the couple are still together, but, children were at risk, removed at times - god knows what else
now - the government wants to return the money to these people --------
what about the damage??
what about the $ costs incurred in fighting this thing so far?
what about the emotional damage?
what about the cost to families where members whee suicide was involved?
what about family survivors of members who committed suicide?
