Hi Doors, I tried to perform that strategy yet it was difficult to manage 40 odd stocks with a few shares each. Plus the brokerage fees are a pain... CHESS sending me mail, others Annual reports and tax at the end of the year-a nightmare.
Do not think as many will be performing SPP in 2010 compared to 09.
ABP will be doing a SPP this month sometime... Should be 15K for 40c, now 47c whether u have 1 share or a million.
How can you possibly find out who is or probably is going to do a SPP from 3000 odd stocks? Lot of time and effort it sounds like... You have a selection strategy or a broker whom informs you OR is there an easier way than simply the random throw a dart? AFR subscription may inform when there is a whisper of an SPP.
What are your Top 20 potentials for an SPP raising for a nice profit?
To manage 68 is $16.50 per BUY...16.50 to sell when done... I would hope you did make a few K from all the hassle.
I had a nice one from WHC this year. Should have kept them as they are over 50% up from the SPP time. However a good 20% profit. Should have taken my MCC, yet the price trailed down and I gave it a miss then BOOM it rocketed.
Some wins some losses...I think ABP will be a goer. With 2 HINs that is potentially 30K worth for 40c. It near 20% above that now, after XD probably 45c. Worth a look if you do not have it. All the best
