I would guess the Myanmar decision shouldn't be too far away based in time since a applications were lodged - but I don't really know .

To expand on your reply to Cyber - I actually think rocs oil reserves are very decent as they are all oil , whereas a lot of companies have reserves converted into oil equivalents , but they are actually lower value gas reserves .

The other point is think its even better to look at reserves on EV vs market cap , and rocs EV per 2 p productive reserves is very high. The other part worth noting is that development drilling often itself results in reserve replacement to a degree , so the assumption that 15 m reserves today means only 15 m that will be produced is wrong. Often the initial reserves of a field Can grow with development drilling 30-50%

Lastly , I think I may halve mentioned this before but I like how roc's are growing and their big cash position . I am not a fan of companies that take on a lot of debt and are heavily exposed to the commodity cycle as this can result in them running into a lot of issues that often ends up in big dilution and wealth destruction . Roc itself was in such a position during the GFC

So I guess my point is I factor in many things when looking at a O and G company , and I have a preference for the safer ones and try to enter during times of greater safety based in financials .

Each to their own though - I found this style on investing works for me and the one time I diverged from this approach I suffered .
