No, sentiment was not the same then. Then, I thought the share market rally had further to go (I also thought something might come of the takeover rumours - sadly, no). I have been concerned about the structural issues for oil for a while, but then thought maybe there was something I wasn't seeing (maybe there still is), rather than just more speculation at a lower level than that which drove it up to $150. I like oil longer-term and think ROC is probably undervalued, but short-term, I'm happy out for the moment.
