Chi-X is an alternate exchange to ASX. If you sometimes find your buy/sell went through at a mid-point (like the trades today 0.55c) your broker would have put the trade through Chi-X rather than ASX.
One relevant difference is that Chi-X only support order for the day, so at the end of the day orders are cleared and start again the next day. Today, you can see there are about 15m buys at 0.5c and only 1.8m sells at 0.6c coming from Chi-X.. so all of them have been placed today. There are no other sell orders on Chi-X (other than the 2m at 0.6c) but there are about 2m buys at 0.2c, 0.3c and 0.4c..
Basically looks like plenty of buyers but not many sellers in the Chi-X day-only orders
