rockhampton mining and coal seam gas

yesterdays AFR article on property and the Capricornia Coast, specifically Rockhampton........its rocking....31 new mines due to open in the next 5 years......???? 31 is an amazing number....is it a mistake.......
but they mention the COAL SEAM GAS........alarm bells, thats the new green energy !
new marina developments etc....
5 years ago land cost was 80.000 today for a prime lot its 200,000...wow an appreciation rate of over 20%pa

ps don't worry too much if you disagree with investing here or anywhere........just reviewed Jan Sommers book 'wealth building in changing times......first published 1994...........she states only 10% of the population ever invest in property, and 10% of those will sell out in a short time, another 10% sell to put the money into a business, another sell.....get the message, only a few of the popultion will become wealthy with a buy and hold approach..........we are not talking first home buyers....its property investing
