The contract for Sandfire was up for renewal, ACM, Byrnecut, Barminco and others would have put in tenders. ACM would not have left voluntarily They have a surplus of equipment due to the closing down of Alacers Trident decline at Higginsville and also the Lake Johnston nickel mine. Not only that, but there is a major surplus at present of unemployed underground mining personnel. Brian was a major shareholder in what was to become Alacer and so had a monopoly on the contract. I would suspect that this will apply to Mt Kare as well. Nothing untoward about that, hes a shrewd businessman with decades of mining expertise.
